The ICE Totally Gaming Expo is just around the corner – the 3rd to 5th of February, 2015. This is an annual event held in London, and with recent changes to UK gambling laws, it is fitting that the expo is planning a Master Class on Gaming Law. The class takes place on February 4th, and is one of a number of free-to-attend seminars scheduled to take place.
Dubbed an International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL) Master Class, it will cover five topics and take an entire day to complete. It will also be offering C-Level networking together with learning modules such as sharing liquidity, protection policies, expansion on existing markets, new and emerging jurisdictions, and predictions on how the online gambling industry will develop in the future.
One thing for certain is that operators who are keen to adhere to new UK license laws will benefit from this class. The industry has changed dramatically since new additions to the Gambling Act were implemented on the 1st November last year, and we have already seen an exodus of gambling websites departing from UK shores.
In the heyday of the online gambling industry, all White Label jurisdictions were able to offer their services to UK players, and there is bound to be a level of attrition amongst smaller operations. Understanding the laws that affect all operators has never been as important as it is now. Compliance within a new regulatory environment is on the board for debate and discussion. A Gambling Compliance Commission free regulatory report will be given to all visitors.
During the ICE Totally Gaming Expo 2014 over one-hundred and fifty nationalities were represented. This show has grown year-on-year, and they are expecting an even bigger event this year. It brings leaders, innovators, and influential players in the online gambling industry together under one roof, and 2015 is expected to draw crowds of more than 20,000 (not visitors, but attendees) together from countries all over the world.
These numbers make ICE the largest international event of its type and the biggest gaming expo the world has seen. It takes place at the London Excel Centre, where a roster of industry thought leaders will present their concepts and ideas for the future, covering matters of great importance for industry operators and their counterparts. It will offer unrivaled opportunities for networking, and you should check out the new trailer at the website. It’s a true banger!
